CHARITIES
These are some of the institutions that mattered most to Dr. Patrick J. Fazzari throughout his lifetime. Thank you for making a donation, to any of them, no matter how small. He would be thrilled to know you are continuing his legacy.
As a young man, Dr. Fazzari was a resident here. He was particularly fond of this institution throughout his lifetime. He strongly believed in CHOP's mission, values and the quality of their care for all children with a range of illnesses.
Dr. Fazzari also believed in and supported this top pediatric treatment and research hospital for children with catastrophic illnesses. Here no family ever receives the burden of a bill; the focus is solely on the child's care and recovery.
The Marist Brothers is a global community of Catholic brothers founded in 1817 by Marcellin Champagnat, a Marist priest from Lyon. Marist Brothers educate and nurture young people, especially the most neglected. As a young man, Dr. Fazzari was a novice Marist Brother.
Dr. Fazzari admired Giuseppe Verdi not only as a maestro and composer but also as an altruist who supported retired musicians and artists in Italy. Casa Verdi, founded in 1896 in Milan, is still in operation and adheres to its founders mission.
As a boy and teen, Our Lady of Mount Carmel was Dr. Fazzari's family parish and the source of many fond memories. It is a Roman Catholic church at the corner of Belmont Avenue and East 187th Street.

Dr. Fazzari's preferred station was New York's premier - and only - classical music station. He felt strongly about supporting its existence and tuned in daily. The station's first broadcast was in 1962.
